To make a logo

Thursday 29 October, 10:20 (160 minutes)

Mr Felix Beltran, Designer, Felix Beltran & Asociados

Typography has three main functions which should be inescapable but which are often neglected in practice. These three functions are preserving ideas, facilitating reading, as well as evoking -to a certain extent- their contents. The graphic design specialist making a logo, who tries to differentiate from the competitors, should have the necessary knowledge about letters so as not to affect their established structures, learned by the public to facilitate their reading. This workshop aims at developing the participants' abilities to create logos differentiated enough from the competitors', but without neglecting their reading, as well as facilitating -through comprehension- the communication process for the public.
