No booking required!

This year's ATypI conference has a space for ... the other stuff. Got twenty minutes worth of Things that Need To Be Said? Come along to No booking required any time on the Friday or Saturday of the conference. No submission of papers and vetting committee. No requirement to stay relevant and focused. no need to plan. Just show up and tell the world (or at least the conference) what's on your mind.

There will be a space with chairs, electricity, a projector and Erik Spiekermann as host, MC and bouncer. Talks and presentations will not last a second longer than 20 minutes, so that essentially there will be two every hour until Erik cannot take any more. There will be no formal introduction, but very tight time-keeping. All on a first come, first speak basis. Erik reserves the right to refuse presentations if their content is too commercial (in other words: no plugs), indecent, racist or lacking in humour. Not that anybody attending the conference would possibly belong to any of these categories, of course.

Of course, you don't get a guaranteed audience. But we'll set up an area of the website to allow you to share your thoughts with the world.
